Eames Elephant (Plywood) – Chestnut
The Eames Elephant (Plywood) by Vitra is a sculptural design piece created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1945. Originally conceived as a plywood toy, the design was never put into serial production during the designers' lifetime. Following a limited edition release in 2007, Vitra introduced the plywood version into regular production in 2018, bringing the original concept to life.
Crafted from moulded plywood with a natural chestnut veneer, the elephant showcases the Eames' innovative approach to shaping wood into fluid, three-dimensional forms. Its smooth curves, distinctive silhouette, and warm wood finish make it a charming decorative accent for contemporary interiors, living spaces, and design collections.
