Combining British tea culture with Japanese woodwork and architecture, Alvar and Aino Aalto created Tea Trolley 901 (1931), combining two birch lamella loops and featuring two shelves and a solid birch handle. Lightweight yet sturdy, the trolley can be easily moved and parked with the help of two wheels. Over the years, many variants of the iconic Tea Trolley have been produced, culminating in Dutch designer and color expert Hella Jongerius' dark version, which provides a stunning play of light from its upper and lower trays.
